Winter Lawn Care

Winter Lawn Care

The approach of winter brings a lowering of soil and air temperature as we get near to the shortest day (Dec 21st) At this time grass growth can slow to a minimum and the need for mowing is much less. There are few days when the grass is dry enough to mow so the lawn should only be cut if a mild period has caused unseasonable growth and conditions are right.

Keep the lawn tidy, removing any fallen twigs and leaves from any nearby trees. If you prepared the well for the winter months during the autumn, there is nothing else to do – so put your feet up and enjoy a rest from lawn activity.
